Vineet Saraiwala Champions Inclusion Across India
Vineet Saraiwala, the visionary founder of Atypical Advantage, has been honored with a prestigious award recognizing his outstanding contribution to disability inclusion and social impact.
Saraiwala, who is visually impaired, dedicated the award not just to himself but to every individual with a disability who dared to dream, every ally who supported the cause, and every organization that embraced diverse talent.
“This award is not just mine – it belongs to every person with a disability who dared to dream, every ally who believed in the cause, and every organization that opened its doors to diverse talent,” Saraiwala said and added “I hope this award inspires many more to build a world that truly belongs to everyone.”
Saraiwala also emphasized the importance of fostering social entrepreneurship in the country. “I also hope that this award inspires the creation of more social entrepreneurs alongside founders and CXOs, ensuring that the wisdom of the nation’s brightest minds is channeled into solving its toughest problems,” he said
He credited the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) for playing a pivotal role in his journey. “Without IIM Bangalore, the dream of building Atypical Advantage would not have existed. I am here only because the Institute gave a visually impaired boy a chance – a ticket to empower others like him, ” he observed.
Through Atypical Advantage, Saraiwala has transformed the employment and opportunity landscape for people with disabilities in India, demonstrating that true inclusion and innovation go hand in hand.
A Few Key Points About the Award
* The recognition means that Vineet’s name is now etched into the illustrious history of IIMB’s revered halls, and future batches will remember his achievements.
* He is the youngest-ever recipient of this prestigious award.
* The list of past awardees includes multi-billionaires such as the former CEO of Blackstone India and the former CEO of HDFC AMC.
Significantly, this marks the beginning of a journey that could lead to one of India’s highest civilian honors—Padma Shri, Padma Vibhushan, or even Bharat Ratna—in the next 25 years.
