UditVani, Jamshedpur : XLRI Jamshedpur, in collaboration with the PGDM (General Management) cohort, hosted an engaging session on “Transforming Legacy” with Mr. Anirban Banerjee, Chief Executive Officer, Eveready Industries India Limited.
The session explored how legacy brands can stay relevant in today’s fast-changing business environment by balancing tradition with innovation.
Banerjee emphasized that while legacy offers strength, reinvention and agility are vital for survival. “Survival in business is never guaranteed, even for industry leaders. Reinvention, agility, and alignment with evolving consumer preferences are essential to thrive,” he remarked.

He also shared details of the social inclusion initiative #AawazUthaneyKaPower, developed with India Signing Hands, which improves accessibility for the deaf community—reflecting Eveready’s vision of driving both business growth and societal impact.
The discussion was enriched by contributions from Saurabh Naskar and Joseph Thomas, while students noted that the session deepened their understanding of leadership, brand stewardship, and inclusive business models.
