
UditVani, Jamshedpur : A Tobacco Control awareness session was successfully held on January 21, 2026, at Kerala Samajam Model School, organized by the Care and Share Club. Over 200 students and 15 teachers attended the event, which aimed to educate on the dangers of tobacco use.
Key speakers included Dr. Md. Asad, District Epidemiologist for East Singhbhum; Ms. Mousumi Chatterjee, District Consultant for the National Tobacco Control Programme (NTCP) in East Singhbhum; and Mr. Kundan Kumar, Social Worker with NTCP, East Singhbhum. They discussed the severe health risks of tobacco, preventive strategies, and the benefits of a tobacco-free lifestyle, inspiring students to promote health awareness.

The program received strong support from Principal Ms. Nandini Shukla and the Vice Principals, whose guidance ensured its smooth execution. Participants pledged to adopt healthier habits and spread the message in their communities.
