
UditVani, Jamshedpur : In a significant stride toward sustainable urban development, Tata Steel Utilities and Infrastructure Services Limited (Tata Steel UISL) organized a Mega Tree Plantation Drive, planting 5,000 saplings across nearly 2,500 square meters of city land.
The initiative featured an array of native species such as Tabebuia, Bauhinia, Teak, Bakul, and other forest varieties—each selected for its ecological value and contribution to enhancing the city’s green cover and biodiversity.
The event drew enthusiastic participation from school students, NCC cadets, their parents, Tata Steel employees, and Tata UISL officials.
It was graced by Varun Bajaj, Chief – Town Infrastructure & Logistic Infrastructure Projects, Corporate Services, Tata Steel, and Rabindra Kumar Singh, General Manager – Town Operations & Maintenance, Tata Steel UISL, underscoring the company’s enduring commitment to environmental stewardship.
The plantation drive marks a pivotal step in Tata Steel UISL’s broader mission to weave sustainability into urban infrastructure and community development, fostering greener, cleaner, and more resilient living environments for Jamshedpur’s residents.
