
UditVani, Jamshedpur : Observing Road Safety Month, Tata Steel organised a Road Safety Awareness Session for media professionals at the CFE Auditorium in Jamshedpur on Saturday.
The programme witnessed the participation of more than 30 journalists and media representatives from across the city.
The session was led by Neeraj Kumar Sinha, Chief Safety, Tata Steel, who stressed the need for responsible road behaviour and strict adherence to traffic regulations to reduce accidents and save lives.
He spoke in detail on essential road safety measures such as ensuring vehicle fitness, wearing helmets and seat belts, following speed limits and traffic rules, avoiding mobile phone use while driving, and not driving under fatigue or drowsy conditions.
Highlighting the influential role of the media, Tata Steel acknowledged journalists as key partners in promoting behavioural change.
The session emphasised that consistent and responsible reporting on road safety can significantly enhance public awareness and contribute to the creation of a safer road culture.
The initiative was conducted in line with Tata Steel’s Road Safety Month campaign themed “One Road, One Family: Drive with Respect,” underscoring the shared responsibility of all road users.
The event was organised by the Corporate Communication Department, Tata Steel, Jamshedpur, as part of the company’s sustained efforts to promote road safety awareness and strengthen community well-being.
