UditVani, Jamshedpur : Tata Steel is all set to celebrate the 186th birth anniversary of its Founder, Jamsetji Nusserwanji Tata on March 3.
The theme for this year’s Founder’s Day is ‘Leadership in Market, Technology and Cost.’
Every year, Tata Steel alongwith other Tata group companies celebrates the birth anniversary of the Founder and his vision of an industrial future with community welfare at its core.
J N Tata had begun his entrepreneurial journey with a textile mill in central India in the 1870s. His vision inspired the steel and power industry in India, set the foundation for technical education, and helped the country leapfrog to join the ranks of industrialised nations.
One of the key features of this year’s celebration will be the illumination of more than 20 landmark spots in Jamshedpur including buildings, dozens of roundabouts, etc.
The use of colourful lights as a key part of the celebrations will be a welcome reminder to citizens and visitors of the beauty of the city.
The Founder`s Day celebrations at Jamshedpur Works will also be live streamed for employees.
Tata Steel’s Vice- president (Corporate Services) Chanakya Chaudhary and managing director of Tata Steel UISL Rituraj Sinha today briefed the mediapersons on the preparations for Founder’s Day celebration.
List of Founder’s Day Activities :
* Inauguration of New Prem Jyoti Prangan School with Modern Infrastructure on March 1, 2025. Tata Steel Foundation has funded the construction of a new building for Prem Jyoti Prangan School, offering a modern and sustainable learning environment.
* The first Pet Crematorium of Jamshedpur will be inaugurated on March 1. Tata Steel has funded the establishment providing dignified and environmentally responsible solution for pet owners, ensuring a safe, hygienic, and structured method for the disposal of pet remains.
* Homage to the Founder at Jubilee Park by N Chandrasekaran, Chairman, Tata Sons on March 2. Park shall be opened for citizens from March 3-5.
* Founder’s Day Celebrations at Tata Steel Jamshedpur Works on March 3. Founder’s Day Programme at Postal Park, Bistupur on March 3.
* Spine Clinic inauguration on March 4. Spine Clinic is a dedicated multi-speciality clinic designed for the comprehensive management of complex spinal problems.
In addition to the Spine Clinic, Stroke Unit inauguration will also be done on March 4 . TMH is excited to open the Stroke Unit, dedicated to the rapid assessment and treatment of stroke patients.
