UditVani, Jamshedpur: The Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry ( SCCI ) solemnly commemorated Founder’s Day with a dignified tribute to the visionary founder of Jamshedpur, Jamsetji Nusserwanji Tata.
A memorial gathering was organised at the Chamber Bhawan, where office-bearers and members assembled to honour his enduring legacy and express their deep gratitude for his unparalleled contribution to nation-building.
Addressing the gathering, Chamber President Manav Kedia described Jamsetji Tata as an extraordinary visionary whose foresight laid the foundation for Jamshedpur to emerge as one of India’s foremost industrial cities.
He remarked that the founder’s dream of placing the city prominently on the industrial map of the country has been magnificently realised.
Emphasising the need to uphold the founder’s ideals, Kedia urged members to draw inspiration from his values and continue striving for the holistic development of the city and the industrial sector.
Honorary General Secretary Puneet Kauntia highlighted that it was Jamsetji Tata’s far-sighted industrial vision that transformed the modest settlement of Kalimati into the globally recognised industrial hub of Tatanagar and Jamshedpur.
The tribute ceremony witnessed the presence of senior office-bearers and executive members, including Vice Presidents Abhishek Agarwal (Goldy) and Harsh Bakrewal, Secretaries Anshul Ringsia, Bharat Makani and Binod Sharma, along with Executive Committee members CA Prateek Agarwal, Pranjal Sarawgi, Piyush Churiwala, Chandrakant Jatakia, Sameer Makani, Akash Bhadani and Rachit Chaudhary, among many others.
Later, President Manav Kedia visited Postal Park in Bistupur, where he offered floral tributes at the statue of Jamsetji Tata alongside Natarajan Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata Sons.
On the occasion, the Chamber fraternity collectively resolved to steadfastly follow the founder’s ideals and continue playing a proactive role in the industrial, social and economic advancement of Jamshedpur.
