UditVani, Jamshedpur : A minor dispute over a mobile phone charger took a violent turn in the Kashidih Road No. 1 area under the Sakchi police station area, creating panic in the locality.
A youth identified as Prem Paswan was seriously injured after being attacked with a chopper and has been admitted to a hospital with the help of local residents.
According to information received, Prem Paswan’s mobile charger was allegedly stolen by Rahul, a resident of the same area.
When Prem confronted Rahul and asked him to return the charger, a heated argument broke out between the two.
The situation worsened after Prem allegedly abused Rahul during the altercation.
Eyewitnesses said that following the verbal clash, Rahul left the spot but returned shortly thereafter with a few of his associates.
It is alleged that Rahul and his companions were armed with a chopper and launched a sudden attack on Prem Paswan.
The victim sustained injuries to his head and other parts of the body, leading to chaos and fear in the area.
Local residents intervened, managed to chase away the attackers, and rushed the injured youth to the hospital for treatment.
On receiving information, police reached the spot and initiated an investigation.
Police officials stated that the matter is being thoroughly probed and assured that strict action will be taken against those found guilty.
