
UditVani, Jamshedpur : Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Steel City organized a series of impactful events across the city today, reaffirming its commitment to community service, public health, education, women empowerment, environmental protection, and mental wellness.
Doctors Honoured on National Doctors’ Day
In recognition of their relentless service, 15 doctors from Rajasthan Seva Sadan, Jugsalai, were felicitated on the occasion of National Doctors’ Day.
Among those honored were Dr. Preetpal Singh (In-Charge), Dr. Raghuvansh, Dr. Sonal, Dr. Ranbir, Dr. Basant, Dr. Naveen, Dr. Keshav Raj, and Dr. Soni.
Rotarians including Manish Agarwal, Saurabh Agarwal, and Priyanka Agarwal led the ceremony. The club acknowledged the vital role of the medical fraternity, especially in post-pandemic times, and emphasized continued support for health initiatives in underserved areas.
Peace and Energy Management Session for Police Personnel
In an effort to support frontline forces, the club collaborated with Pranic Healing Center, Adityapur, to organize a unique Peace & Energy Management session for police personnel.
The session introduced officers to practical tools such as breathing techniques, forgiveness practices, and the Twin Hearts meditation for stress relief and emotional balance.
Special emphasis was laid on energy healing practices to manage stress during crisis situations.
The initiative received strong support from Jamshedpur SSP Piyush Pandey, while Savita Agarwal and Simple Agarwal represented the Pranic Healing Center. Club coordinators Nitulika Singh and Jyoti Agarwal conducted the session.
Club officials including President Krishna Kharia, Secretary Jitesh Choudhary, Project Director Nikita Mehta, and members Saurabh Kumar and Udit Agarwal were also present.
Girls Empowered Through “Paddling Dreams” Initiative
Continuing its drive to enhance access to education for girls, Rotary Club Steel City distributed six pink bicycles to underprivileged girl students of Shri Surat Sarvajanik ME Gujarati School, Bistupur.
The initiative, under the mission “Paddling Dreams, Empowering Girls”, aims to reduce school dropout rates by ensuring safe and reliable transportation.
School Principal Jasmine, Trustee Jayantibhai Patel, Secretary Rajesh Patel, and Babubhai participated in the distribution along with Rotarians.
Green Drive Begins: 2000 Saplings Targeted
Under its ambitious goal of planting 2000 saplings this financial year, the club launched its green initiative with a plantation drive at the CRPF Camp in Adityapur, where 50 saplings were planted with the help of 30 CRPF personnel.
Assistant Commandant Mohinish attended the event and extended full support to the environmental cause.
Project SHE Launched: Safety, Health, and Environment Awareness
The club introduced Project SHE (Safety, Health, Environment) at Multitech Components Pvt Ltd, with support from healthcare organization Arogyam.
The project includes:
* Health checkups under the Factory Act
* CPR training for emergency preparedness
* A tree planted for every participant
As part of this program, 65 factory employees benefited on Day 1. Participants contributed ₹150 each, and the initiative aims to build a culture of health, safety, and eco-consciousness in industrial workplaces.
Industry-Focused Project ‘Jalodaya’ for Water Conservation
Rotary Steel City also launched Project Jalodaya, a sustainability initiative focusing on water audit and conservation in industries.
The first audit was conducted at Multitech Components Pvt Ltd, with technical support and planning led by Nalin Goyal.
The project intends to raise awareness and foster responsible water usage within industrial units, helping them reduce consumption and contribute to long-term ecological balance.
Rotary’s Continued Community Focus
Speaking about the day’s events, Rotary Steel City President Krishna Kharia expressed gratitude to all partners, organizations, and volunteers involved.
He emphasized that the club will continue its work with increased momentum in areas like women empowerment, healthcare access, industrial safety, mental wellness, and environment throughout the year.
