UditVani, Jamshedpur : Building on the success of its earlier career counselling initiative Futurescape 2035 for urban schools, the Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Steel City has taken a meaningful step towards inclusive development by launching Saksham-its first customised career counselling programme for Project and rural schools.
The inaugural Saksham session was conducted at D N Kamani Hindi School in collaboration with KSCESC, with noted Rotarian Rtn Khushboo Singh leading the interaction.
Designed specifically for underprivileged students, the initiative aimed to broaden young minds, introduce them to a world of possibilities, and ignite aspirations beyond immediate social and economic constraints.
The session witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, whose curiosity and engagement reflected a deep hunger for guidance and direction.
Through her highly interactive and relatable style, Rtn Khushboo Singh succeeded in connecting with the students, encouraging them to voice their dreams and ambitions.
Several children expressed aspirations to become IAS officers, doctors in the armed forces, and professionals in diverse fields.
While the programme successfully sparked ambition, the organisers also identified a key area for future intervention-public speaking and communication skills.
Recognising this, the school management welcomed the feedback with openness and assured cooperation in nurturing these competencies further.
The organisers emphasised that sustained mentorship and structured guidance are essential to channel these aspirations and ensure that students grow into confident, skilled, and employable individuals.
The session was further strengthened by the presence and support of Rtn Nisha Taunk and Partner Mansi Agarwal, whose encouragement added value to the initiative.
Saksham marks a noble and impactful beginning of the Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Steel City’s focused outreach for Project and rural schools-an initiative that promises to shape futures by empowering young minds with vision, confidence, and direction.
