
Udit Vani Jamshedpur : As per the directive of Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi, a comprehensive review meeting concerning revenue registration, land reforms, and revenue collection was held at the district collectorate under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner Bhagirath Prasad.
The meeting was attended by Dhalbhum Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) Shatabdi Majumdar, Ghatshila SDO Sunil Chandra, and other concerned officials.
Key topics discussed included land acquisition, mutation cases, land demarcation, online rent collection, land dispute resolution drives, and upcoming public service camps.
Special emphasis was placed on the progress of mutation applications. From January to June 15, 2025, the district received 6,939 mutation requests, of which 3,245 have been processed, reflecting a progress rate of 46.76%. Officials were directed to resolve the pending cases within the stipulated timeframe and to clearly mention valid reasons in case of rejections.
Regarding land demarcation, only 24% of the 1,162 received applications have been processed. Out of the remaining, 274 were pending due to unpaid fees, 370 were under process, and about 15% had been rejected. Officials were instructed to reach out to applicants to expedite the pending 370 demarcation cases.
The meeting also included a review of RCMS (Revenue Court Management System), online rent collection, and other revenue-related services. The Additional Deputy Commissioner stressed the need for prompt disposal of pending appeals and self-initiated mutation cases.
Preparations for land dispute resolution days and camps held at police station level were also discussed. The ADC emphasized utilizing these camps to resolve maximum land-related disputes of the public.
In the revenue collection review, all departments were directed to align their efforts with their annual collection targets. As of now, revenue collection across various circles and departments stands as follows:
Sales Tax Urban Circle: 15%
Jamshedpur Circle: 13%
Singhbhum Circle: 14%
Adityapur Circle: 14%
Excise Department: 13%
Registration Office: 14%
All three Electricity Divisions: Over 20%
Transport Department: 19%
Urban Local Bodies: Around 20%
The ADC instructed all departments to prepare and execute time-bound action plans to meet their respective targets. Emphasis was laid on inter-departmental coordination to accelerate the revenue collection process.
