
UditVani, Jamshedpur : In a move to accommodate increased passenger demand and improve regional connectivity, Indian Railways has introduced a special train service between Ranchi and Bhagalpur, operational from July 12 to August 12.
The Ranchi–Bhagalpur Special will run three times a week—on Saturdays, Mondays, and Wednesdays—departing from Ranchi at 11:00 PM and reaching Bhagalpur at 1:00 PM the following day.
For the return journey, train number 08609 Bhagalpur–Ranchi Special will operate on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, leaving Bhagalpur at 1:45 PM and arriving in Ranchi at 3:50 AM the next morning.
The special train will stop at the following stations en route: Muri, Bokaro Steel City, Dhanbad, Chittaranjan, Madhupur, Jasidih, Jhajha, Kiul, Abhaipur, Jamalpur, and Sultanganj.
Passengers are encouraged to plan their journeys accordingly and adhere to railway travel protocols.
The special train will immensely benefit devotees heading for month- long Shravani Mela in Deoghar.
