UditVani Jamshedpur : The camaraderie and bonhomie would prevail at the Adityapur – based campus of NIT Jamshedpur on January 24, Friday.
The occasion would be the three- day Homecoming of the 1975-79 batch which would be celebrating its 50th anniversary.
The old friends would get together at their Alma mater with an extra bit of excitement with high adrenaline and enthusiasm.

Batchmates from all corners of the country and abroad will joinn with glee and gay abandon at the Homecoming celebrations on the campus on Friday.
Around 125 alumni members and their spouses would join the three day long celebrations, from all over the globe, including more than a dozen alumni from USA, Canada, Australia and Europe.
Various interactive, collaborative and mutually enriching activities including fun and frolic, have been arranged for the visiting alumni members and their spouses.
It was exactly half-a-century ago that bright young students from all parts of the country vied with the rest of the world, to get admission to this coveted premier engineering cradle then known as the Regional Institute of Technology (RIT).
The tech cradle was established on August 15, 1960 as a joint venture of the state and the Centre now, known as the National Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur which churns out some of the best engineers of the country in various disciplines.
The ‘Class of 1975 – 1979’ boasts of some of the most accomplished achievers among its ranks.
Many distinguished alumni members and high-achievers would attend this alumni meet including IS Jha , former CMD of Powergrid and member CERC, the world-renowned metallurgist Dipak Mazumdar of IIT Kanpur, Air Marshal JK Singh (Retd.), N Sarat Singh – Chief Engineer (Power), Govt of Manipur, KVA Chakravarthi – Scientist, ISRO (Retd.), Alok K Gupta, a pioneer metallurgist of international repute , RN Roy, a distinguished academician among others.
There are also a scores of other high-ranking administrators, scientists, technocrats, entrepreneurs and others from various sectors of the industry and academia, who would be attending the alumni meet.
