
UditVani, Jamshedpur : In view of the ongoing construction of the Mango Flyover’s Azad Basti down-ramp and elevated approach, the district administration has introduced a comprehensive traffic diversion plan. The order—issued by the Traffic DSP and endorsed by the Deputy Commissioner and SSP—will remain in force from November 25 to December 21.
A complete restriction on heavy commercial vehicles has been imposed between Mango Chowk and Pardih Chowk to ensure uninterrupted construction activity.
Controlled One-Way Movement During School Hours (6 AM – 8 AM)
To ease congestion during the morning rush:
Only school buses and vans will be allowed to travel from Bada Hanuman Mandir (Pardih Road) toward Mango Chowk.
All vehicles heading from Mango Chowk toward Bada Hanuman Mandir will be barred.
Reverse Traffic Protocol for the Rest of the Day (8 AM – 6 AM)
Movement from Mango Chowk to Bada Hanuman Mandir will continue as usual.
Vehicles toward Mango Chowk from Bada Hanuman Mandir will not be allowed.
Alternative Routes for Light Vehicles
6 AM – 8 AM
➡ Sahara City → Road No. 15 → Pardih–Mango Road → Mango Bridge
8 AM – 6 AM (Next Day)
➡ Sahara City → Road No. 15 → Mango–Pardih Road → Chepa Bridge → Old Purulia Road → Mango Bridge
The administration has appealed to commuters to adhere to the revised traffic plan, avoid unnecessary diversions, and cooperate in enabling timely completion of the flyover—an infrastructure upgrade poised to significantly improve mobility in the region.
