Udit Vani, Jamshedpur : In a commendable gesture of community service and social responsibility, Loyola School, Bistupur, along with the Loyola Alumni Association (LAA), will be hosting its annual blood donation camp on Wednesday, July 30, from 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM.
The event is being organized to mark the Feast Day of St. Ignatius of Loyola, the revered founder of the Jesuit order and the patron of the institution.
The blood donation camp is being held in collaboration with Jamshedpur Blood Bank, and aims to mobilize past and present Loyoleans, faculty, and members of the wider community to contribute to this noble cause.
The theme of the event—“Save Life, Give Blood”—echoes the values instilled by Jesuit education: compassion, service, and social justice. Organizers have urged citizens of Jamshedpur, especially alumni and students, to spread the word and participate in large numbers to ensure the success of this humanitarian effort.
The event will take place on the school premises in Bistupur, where necessary medical arrangements and health safety protocols will be followed.
Trained professionals from the blood bank will be present to ensure the smooth and safe collection of blood.
Speaking about the initiative, a representative from the Loyola Alumni Association stated, “Every drop of blood can make a difference and save lives. What better way to honor St. Ignatius’ legacy than by giving back to society and helping those in need.”
The organizers are optimistic about an enthusiastic turnout and have emphasized the importance of voluntary blood donation in maintaining emergency medical supplies and supporting patients in dire need.
All eligible donors are encouraged to participate and contribute to this impactful cause. Refreshments and donor certificates will also be provided as a token of appreciation.
For further details or group participation, interested individuals can reach out to the Loyola Alumni Association or visit the school campus.
