UditVani, Jamshedpur : Jamshedpur FC Under-18 produced a dominant all-round performance to register a comprehensive 4-0 win over Inter Kashi in the AIFF Elite League match at the JRD Tata Sports Complex, moving to the top of the table with the result.
JFC started on the front foot and created their first opening as early as the third minute when Mars tried his luck from distance, only to see his effort go wide. The early intent paid off in the ninth minute when Gopal Munda provided a well-weighted assist for Mars, who finished calmly to give Jamshedpur the lead.
The pressure continued and just a minute later, Rayan turned provider, setting up Sachin, who buried the chance to double JFC’s advantage and leave Inter Kashi reeling. Jamshedpur could have added more before the break, with both Mars and Gopal going close, but the third goal arrived in first-half stoppage time.
In the 45+1 minute, Gopal delivered a precise cross from the flank, finding an unmarked Rayan at the far post. The forward showed composure to place the ball into the bottom corner, sending Jamshedpur into the interval with a commanding 3-0 lead.
The second half saw the tempo drop slightly as JFC managed the game intelligently. Inter Kashi struggled to break through a disciplined Jamshedpur defence, while the hosts continued to look for openings on the counter. The fourth goal eventually came in the 76th minute when Mama converted from the penalty spot after the referee adjudged a handball inside the box.
With this win, JFC moved to the top of the Elite League table with 20 points. JFC U18 will play AIFF Talent Academy in their next away match on 7th February.
