UditVani, Jamshedpur : Jamshedpur FC forward Mohammed Sanan has been named in the India U-23 Men’s National Team for the upcoming international friendlies against Thailand, scheduled for November 15 and 18.
The matches will be held in Thailand as part of the All India Football Federation’s (AIFF) initiative to provide young Indian footballers with valuable international exposure during the FIFA window.
Sanan will report to the national camp in Kolkata from November 7, ahead of the team’s departure for Thailand.
The 20-year-old attacker has been a consistent performer for Jamshedpur FC, and his selection highlights his steady progress and growing influence at both club and national levels.
Earlier this year, Sanan impressed in the AFC U-23 Asian Cup Qualifiers in Doha, where India narrowly missed qualification.
He also featured in friendly matches against Iraq and was subsequently invited to the senior national team camp, further underlining his rising profile in Indian football.
Expressing his delight over the latest call-up, Sanan said,
“I hope to keep improving every time I step onto the pitch. These opportunities give me great confidence, and the upcoming matches will be a huge learning curve as we gear up for the league season.”
