
UditVani, Jamshedpur : The JRD Tata Sports Department successfully hosted the fourth edition of the Jamshedpur Annual Horse Show at the Horse-Riding School, Jamshedpur, showcasing emerging equestrian talent and reinforcing the city’s growing sports culture.
The one-day event saw enthusiastic participation from 84 riders across various age groups, who competed in six competitive events including Ball and Bucket Race, Pole Bending, Ring Pegging, Tent Pegging and Show Jumping.
A total of 11 horses, comprising nine thoroughbreds and two Janskari pony breed horses, featured in the competitions, adding variety and excitement to the show.
Under the expert coaching of Dushyant Kumar, a remarkable 54 riders secured medals, reflecting the rising standard of training and increasing interest in equestrian sports among young participants.
The closing ceremony was graced by D B Sundara Ramam, Vice President, Corporate Services, Tatanagar Steel as the Chief Guest.
Senior dignitaries including Swastika Basu, Managing Director, JAMIPOL, and Ajay Gupta, General Manager (Marketing & Sales), JCAPCPL, were also present. The event was supported by JCAPCPL and JAMIPOL as the principal sponsors.
Several young riders delivered outstanding performances, earning Best Rider trophies across age categories. The winners included Pratyaksha Singh (6 years), Darsh Singh Bhatiya (7 years), Tanisha Mahapatra (8 years), Livansh Taneja (9–10 years), Nihit Agrawal (11–12 years), Harnika (13–14 years), Shaurya Singh (15–18 years), Mayank Agrawal (Above 18 years) and Dhananjay Kumar (Masters 50+).
Gold medals were claimed by riders such as Aryan Srivastava, Shaurya Singh, Nihit Agrawal, Harnika, Mayank Agrawal and Livansh Taneja across multiple disciplines, highlighting competitive excellence and strong preparation.
Organisers stated that the Annual Horse Show aims to introduce children to structured competitive riding while instilling confidence, discipline and a lifelong passion for sports.
With every edition, the event continues to strengthen its role in nurturing grassroots equestrian talent in the region.
