UditVani, Jamshedpur: In a significant step towards ensuring the smooth conduct of the Municipal Elections 2026, East Singhbhum District Election Officer (Municipality) Karan Satyarthi carried out a comprehensive inspection of the polling party dispatch centre and the counting-cum-strong room facility set up at the Golmuri-cum-Jugsalai block premises.
The inspection focused on reviewing logistical arrangements and security protocols critical to conducting the elections in a free, fair, and transparent manner.
The District Election Officer examined the material distribution centre, strong room arrangements, parking facilities, and overall infrastructure preparedness.
Emphasising systematic and time-bound dispatch of polling teams, Satyarthi directed officials to ensure clearly demarcated counters, proper barricading, prominent signage, and dedicated help desks to streamline the distribution of election materials.
He underscored that an orderly dispatch process is essential to avoid last-minute confusion and ensure operational efficiency on polling day.
During his visit to the strong room, he reviewed security measures including CCTV surveillance, controlled entry and exit points, and deployment of security personnel.
He instructed officials to strictly adhere to Election Commission guidelines and ensure full compliance with prescribed safety protocols.
Special attention was also given to traffic and parking management.
The DEO called for separate parking arrangements for polling party vehicles, clear route charts, and an effective traffic regulation plan to prevent congestion and ensure smooth vehicular movement on the day of dispatch.
Reiterating the administration’s commitment to conducting peaceful and transparent elections, Satyarthi stressed the need for close coordination among all departments and timely completion of preparations.
He affirmed that every stage of the electoral process must be handled with utmost seriousness and accountability.
The district administration, he said, is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that the Municipal Elections 2026 are conducted in an orderly, secure, and impartial manner.
