
UditVani, Jamshedpur: In view of a scheduled mega block for essential infrastructure maintenance and safety-related works, the South Eastern Railway has announced major temporary changes to train operations in the Chakradharpur Division.
These disruptions, spanning over several days between late August and early October 2025, will impact multiple passenger and express trains, affecting travelers across key routes.
Train Cancellations:
Two MEMU (Mainline Electric Multiple Unit) services have been cancelled on multiple dates due to the block:
1. Train No. 68003/68004 Tata–Rourkela–Tata MEMU
Cancelled on: 30.08.25, 06.09.25, 13.09.25, 20.09.25, 27.09.25
2. Train No. 68025/68026 Chakradharpur–Rourkela–Chakradharpur MEMU
Cancelled on: 04.10.25
Train Diversions:
Due to route restrictions, the following express service will operate on a diverted path:
Train No. 18478 Vishakhapatnam–Puri Utkal Express
Dates of diversion: 29.08.25, 05.09.25, 12.09.25, 19.09.25, 26.09.25, and 03.10.25
Short Termination/Short Origination of Trains:
Several express services have been either short terminated or short originated, with partial service cancellations:
1. Train No. 12872/22862 Titlagarh- Howrah Ispat Express
Short Terminated/Originated at: Rourkela
Service between Rourkela and Howrah stands cancelled.
Affected dates: 30.08.25, 06.09.25, 13.09.25, 20.09.25, 27.09.25, and 04.10.25
2. Train No. 22861/12871 Howrah- Titlagarh Ispat Express
