
UditVani, Jamshedpur: The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) today announced the new office bearers for the CII Jharkhand State Council for the term 2026–27 at its Annual Meeting held in Jamshedpur.
Diloo Parikh, Director of Vaidehi Motors Pvt Ltd, has been elected as the Chairman of the CII Jharkhand State Council for the year 2026–27.
A native of Jamshedpur, Parikh has been closely associated with the city’s business community and has played an active role in his family-run automobile dealership business, which deals in Mercedes-Benz passenger cars and Tata Motors commercial vehicles.
Over the years, Parikh has been actively involved in several professional and industry associations.
He previously served as the Chairperson of the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) – Jharkhand and was also a member of the Executive Committee of the Air Passengers Association of India (APAI).
Outside his professional engagements, he has a keen interest in collecting airplane models, while golf remains his favourite sport.
Meanwhile, D B Sundara Ramam, Vice President (Corporate Services) at Tata Steel, has been elected as the Vice-Chairman of the CII Jharkhand State Council for 2026–27.
Ramam joined Tata Steel as a Graduate Trainee in 1990 after completing a B.Sc. in Engineering (Mining) from National Institute of Technology Rourkela.
With more than three decades of experience, he has served in several key roles across the Coal and Iron Ore Mines of the Raw Materials Division and the Ferro Alloys Division.
He has also served as Principal Executive Officer to the CEO and Managing Director of Tata Steel.
Currently serving as Vice President – Corporate Services, Ramam holds a First Class Mine Manager’s Competency Certificate in Coal from the Directorate General of Mines Safety (DGMS).
In 1999, he completed the General Management Programme from XLRI, Jamshedpur.
Ramam has also undergone several international leadership and management programmes, including the Tata Group Executive Leadership Development Programme in the United Kingdom, a training programme at the Sustainable Mineral Institute in Brisbane, Australia, and the Senior Executive Management Programme at CEDEP, France, besides the Global Leadership Development Programme.
He currently serves as the President of the Mining Engineers’ Association of India and has authored several papers on sustainable mining and innovation.
In addition, he is a Director on the governing boards of Tata Steel Minerals Canada Limited and the Tata Steel Foundation, and chairs TSUISL, TSSSL and TSSEZ, while also being associated with several professional societies.
