
UditVani, Jamshedpur: In a proactive move to assess the quality of healthcare services, Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum, Karn Satyarthi, conducted a comprehensive inspection of Sadar Hospital, Jamshedpur.
The visit aimed at reviewing the infrastructure, medical facilities, and patient services available at the government hospital.
During the inspection, the Deputy Commissioner toured various critical sections of the hospital including the General Ward, Women’s Ward, Maternity Ward, Pediatric Ward, Emergency Room, and the Outpatient Department (OPD).
He thoroughly examined cleanliness standards, availability of medicines, doctor attendance, and the overall condition of medical equipment and support services.
Satyarthi engaged directly with admitted patients and their attendants to understand their experience with hospital services.
He inquired about access to free medicines, quality of food, diagnostic services, and any issues or shortcomings they were facing.
The interaction aimed to identify ground-level challenges and explore areas for immediate improvement.
Addressing the hospital staff, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized that providing quality healthcare must be the top priority.
He instructed Civil Surgeon Dr. Sahir Pal to ensure that all doctors and medical personnel discharge their duties sincerely and treat patients with empathy and dignity. He also directed the maintenance of regular cleanliness, availability of drinking water, and proper functioning of all medical equipment.
Accompanying the DC during the inspection were ACMO Dr. Jogeshwar Prasad, DRCHO Dr. Ranjit Panda, and other senior officials from the health department.
The inspection highlighted the district administration’s commitment to improving public health infrastructure and ensuring timely, accessible, and efficient healthcare for all.
