UditVani, Jamshedpur: Jharkhand is expected to witness a continuation of cold and dry weather conditions over the coming days, with foggy mornings and clear afternoons prevailing across most parts of the state.
As per the forecast, cold wave conditions are likely in isolated pockets of western Jharkhand on December 27, with the chill persisting intermittently thereafter.
Shallow to moderate fog is expected during the morning hours at isolated places on December 27 and 28, followed by mainly clear skies and dry weather later in the day.
On December 29 and 30, fog or mist is likely during the early morning, while clear skies and dry conditions are expected to dominate during the rest of the day.
Meteorological observations suggest that no significant synoptic feature is prevailing over Jharkhand at present. North-westerly to westerly winds in the lower tropospheric levels continue to influence the region, supporting stable atmospheric conditions and a dip in temperatures.
Over the past 24 hours, dry weather has prevailed across the state, with shallow to moderate fog reported at isolated locations. Cold wave conditions were also realized in isolated pockets of western and adjoining central parts of Jharkhand.
People are advised to remain cautious during early morning hours due to reduced visibility and to take necessary measures to protect themselves from the cold, especially in vulnerable regions.
