
UditVani, Jamshedpur: Four youths were injured, three of them critically, after a speeding car lost control and crashed into a roadside tree near the main gate of UCIL Bhatin Mines in Jadugora on Wednesday afternoon.
According to reports, the car was travelling from Jadugora towards Jamshedpur when the driver suddenly lost control near the Bhatin Mines gate.
The vehicle veered off the road and rammed into a tree with tremendous force, leaving the front portion of the car badly mangled.
Local residents rushed to the spot after hearing the loud crash and rescued the injured youths trapped inside the vehicle.
With their help, all four were immediately taken to Jadugora hospital for treatment.
After providing primary medical aid, doctors referred three of the seriously injured youths to a hospital in Jamshedpur for advanced treatment.
The fourth youth, who sustained minor injuries, is being treated locally.
On receiving information, Jadugora police reached the spot and inspected the accident site.
The damaged vehicle has been seized and an investigation has been initiated.
Preliminary findings indicate that over speeding and loss of control may have led to the accident, though police said a detailed probe is underway.
