Jamshedpur : In a shocking incident, unidentified assailants shot a local businessman in broad daylight at the Kandra police station area.
The victim, Sanjay Barman, owner of SB Traders located on the Kandra-Dumra Main Road, was attacked by bike-borne criminals who fled the scene immediately after the shooting.
Thanks to the prompt response of local residents, the injured businessman was promptly taken to Kandra police station and later rushed to Tata Main Hospital (TMH) by the police for treatment. Initial reports indicate that Sanjay sustained two bullet wounds—one in his leg and another in his thigh.
His condition is currently reported to be stable.
The brazen attack has triggered fear and outrage among local residents and the business community.
Many have expressed anger over the rising crime rate in Kandra and are questioning the effectiveness of local law enforcement.
A similar firing incident occurred in Kandra just a few days ago. While one accused was apprehended by the police in that case, other culprits remain at large.
The latest attack has once again raised concerns about the deteriorating security situation in the area.
Police are currently investigating into the case and reviewing nearby CCTV footage to identify and apprehend the culprits at the earliest.
