UditVani, Jamshedpur : The Bistupur police have solved the sensational abduction case of six-year-old Arish Gaddi from Ramdas Bhatta Gwala Basti, revealing that a personal grudge was behind the crime.
Addressing a press conference on Saturday, Jamshedpur City SP Kumar Shivashish said the kidnapping was an act of revenge against the boy’s father, Firdous Gaddi.
According to police, Firdous had employed three workers and failed to clear their pending wages.
Agitated over the non-payment, the trio allegedly plotted to abduct his young son.
Swift police action led to the arrest of the main accused, Sheikh Ishadul Haq, while efforts are on to apprehend the two remaining accomplices.
SP Shivashish said he personally monitored the investigation and praised the promptness of the Bistupur police team in safely rescuing the child.
Reaffirming the police’s commitment to public safety, the City SP said no criminal would be spared and appealed to citizens to report any suspicious activity in their areas.
