UditVani, Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur-based Singhbhum postal division has come up with a visual feast for philately lovers of the steel city.
Jampex, a two-day district-level philately exhibition, kicked off on Saturday at the Tulsi Bhavan in Bistupur.
Chief post master general Bidhan Chandra Roy inaugurated the exhibition.
With its collection of more than 1,000 types of stamps and covers from various countries and periods, it is a treat for collectors and laypersons alike.
Singhbhum postal division, one of the six in the state, has also utilised this opportunity to launch one special postal covers on 101 years of State Bank of India.
The highlights of the first day also included a letter writing contest on armed forces. A drawing competition also took place related to philately.
