UditVani, Jamshedpur : A financial awareness program was organized at RVS College of Engineering and Technology in collaboration with Reserve Bank of India (RBI) today.
On this occasion, Ranjan Prasad Singh, Regional Director of RBI, Jharkhand, was the chief guest, and Alfred Girish Tirki, Assistant General Manager of the same bank, was the special guest.
The college’s Dean of Academics, Sharat Chandra Mahto, and Dean of Administration, Prof. Krishna Murari, welcomed the guests on stage by presenting them bouquets of flowers.
The institution’s treasurer, Shatrughan Singh, feted the chief guest with a shawl, memento, and diary, while the principal of the institution, Prof. Dr. Rajesh Kumar Tiwari, honored the special guest, Alfred Girish Tirki, with a shawl, memento, and diary.
The program began with the lighting of the traditional lamp. On this occasion, the Regional Director of RBI, Jharkhand, in his address, emphasized the importance of financial management in life.
He mentioned that the RBI was established in 1935 and has been playing a crucial role in the country’s economic development since then.
While interacting with the students in the auditorium, he discussed how one can be prepared for financial security and how one can manage and grow finances in the era of increasing technological influence.
Alfred Girish Tirki, the special guest, discussed the challenges emerging in financial management and possible solutions, addressing future engineers.
Prior to this, Prof. Tiwari, the principal of the institution, highlighted the objectives of the program in his welcome speech.
Shatrughan Singh, the institution’s treasurer, mentioned that programs like these help in learning the intricacies of financial management.
He also stated that such programs should be held regularly so that one can stay updated with the new rules introduced in this field.
At the end of the program, a quiz competition was conducted. The students were given a detailed discussion on career opportunities in RBI, the RBI director planted trees on the campus.
Winners of the quiz contest were awarded diaries, pens, and packets of sweets as prizes.
The session on careers in RBI was attended by Amit Kumar, Roshan Kumar Girija, Harshita and Sonam Kumar Sham.
The program ended with a vote of thanks.
