UditVani, Jamshedpur : A shocking incident has surfaced in Sidhgora where the body of 28-year-old Sneha Srivastava was found hanging under suspicious circumstances.
Her family, hailing from Bagbera, rushed to the spot and later shifted the body to TMH mortuary.
Sneha was married to Nikhil Srivastava of Sidhgora around eight years ago.
According to her brother Nitesh Srivastava, Sneha had been subjected to continuous harassment by her in-laws for dowry since her marriage. He further alleged that visible marks of assault, including belt injuries, were found on her body, indicating foul play rather than suicide. Sneha had no children.
On receiving information, the family members and local residents were left shocked and enraged.
Police reached the spot, conducted a preliminary investigation, and sent the body for postmortem. Initial findings suggest that the possibility of suicide is being ruled out. Evidence has been collected, and a deeper investigation is underway.
The incident has sparked anger among local residents, who are demanding justice. Police officials have assured that all angles, particularly the allegations against the in-laws, will be thoroughly investigated to uncover the truth.
