UditVani, Jamshedpur : In a swift response to a complaint of attempted murder, Jugsalai police have arrested the main accused, Saif Ali alias Raj Bachcha, a resident of Habib Nagar under the Jugsalai police station area.
On April 6, Md. Altamash (25) filed a written complaint at the Jugsalai police station, alleging that Saif Ali and an unidentified accomplice fired at him with the intention to kill. Based on the complaint, a case (Case No. 40/25) was registered under sections 109(1)/3(5) BNS 2023 and 27/25 of the Arms Act.
Given the seriousness of the case, a special raid team was formed under the leadership of Deputy Superintendent of Police (Law & Order) Md. Tauqeer Alam. Acting on a tip-off, the team raided a hideout in Taj Nagar under the Kapali OP area of Seraikela district and arrested Saif Ali on the evening of April 16.
During interrogation, the accused confessed to his involvement and revealed the identity of his accomplice, Dilnabaz Gadgadi alias Beer. Based on his information, police recovered a country-made pistol and two live cartridges. Further investigation is underway, and efforts to arrest the second accused have been intensified.
