UditVani Jamshedpur: The 8th Annual Sports Day was organized at Loyola School Telco today.
Chief guest Krishna Kumar, recipient of National Award for his contribution to the Swachh Bharat Mission, inaugurated the sports meet.
Special guest Gyanendran Karan, alumnus of Loyola School and principal legal advisor to Tata Steel, was also present.
Considering sports as an integral part of life, he inspired students to pursue sports in their life.
The sports flag was hoisted by the vchief guest. The sports flame was lit, balloons of the colors of the four Houses were released, the sports oath was taken by the captains and the sports competition was declared open.
Santa Claus and the colorful program involving the snowman costume and his New Year greetings enthralled the audience.
Students of classes – I, II and III -displayed a spectacular drill representing the colors of life through German dance, and children of classes IV to VI enthralled everyone with an unmatched display of unity.
A total of 30 competitions were organized which included flat races, hurdles races, relay races etc.
Special guest Anand Bihari Dubey boosted the morale of the students with his inspirational words at the end.
The ceremony recognized and honored the outstanding achievements of the students in both on-field and off-field events.
