UditVani, Jamshedpur : A body of a 24- year- old youth was found in a pool of blood inside the classroom of a government-run school under Ulidih thana outpost (TOP) at Mango this morning.
Police suspect it to be a murder case as the body had cut marks on the neck region.
Policemen who reached the spot on getting information inspected the body and confirmed it to be a case of murder.
The body was later identified as that of Saurabh Sharma alias Pawan, a resident of Ulidih .
Pawan’s body was found inside the classroom on the first floor of Kendriya Madhya Vidyalaya located at the densely-populated Khankah in Ulidih.
There was a repairing and modification work of the school building in progress. As the workers opened the classroom in the morning, they found the body lying in a pool of blood.
The detection of the body inside a classroom had triggered a sensation and panic in the area .
The body was identified by the murder victim’s sister, Nisha Boipai.
Nisha who is also a resident of Ulidih said that her brother had not returned home last night, causing the anxious family members to search for him the whole night.
She said a crowd gathered outside the government school in the morning. She toi went there and found her brother’s body in one of the classrooms .
Ulidih TOP in-charge, Kumar Abhishek who had visited the spot suspected it to be a murder.
A section of local people was learnt to have told the police that Pawan was a drug addict, adding that the murder might have been committed in a sequel to a dispute over drug addiction.
