UditVani, Jamshedpur: The district sports steering committee meeting under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal was held today.
ADM Law and Order Aniket Sachan, District Sports Officer Avinesh Tripathi and representatives of various sports associations and invited members attended the meeting at the conference hall of the district collectorate.
At the meeting discussions were held regarding opening of a new day boarding training center in the district, appointment of trainers, construction of grounds for roll ball training, construction of indoor stadium at sub-division level, construction of multi-sports stadium etc.
The deputy commissioner said that one day-boarding center will come up in each blocks.
Instructions were given to obtain co-ordination and NOC from the District Education Officer for the construction of a field for the Roll Ball Sports Training Center at BPM School of Excellence, Burmamines.
In view of the number of trainees in the day-boarding centres, the deputy commissioner discussed correspondence at the departmental level for the appointment of one additional trainer each, construction of one indoor stadium at the sub-division level and indoor stadium at the district level too.
