UditVani, Jamshedpur: The Kapali TOP police have successfully solved the murder of Sandeep Kumar, a collection agent, whose body was found near Hansadungri Fatima Masjid on December 2. Three individuals involved in the crime have been apprehended, marking a significant breakthrough in the case.
Incident Overview
Sandeep Kumar, a resident of Bhalubasa Teachers Colony, was found dead under suspicious circumstances on the evening of December 2. Based on a statement given by his brother, Pradeep Singh, a murder case was registered against unidentified perpetrators.
Police Investigation and Arrests
Acting on instructions from Chandil SDPO, a special investigation team was formed. Their thorough efforts led to the arrest of three accused:
- Shamshad Ansari (18), resident of Hansadungri near Fatima Masjid
- Mohd. Shariq (26), resident of Demdubi near Ansar Nagar cemetery
- Shamsudin Momin (44), who resided near Hanifia Rizvia Mosque
Seized Items
The police recovered several incriminating items from the accused, including:
- A country-made pistol
- Two live cartridges
- Rs 19,600 in cash
- A motorbike
- A loan book
- Two mobile phones
Confessions and Legal Action
During interrogation, all three accused confessed to their involvement in the crime. They have since been remanded to judicial custody.
