UDIT VANI Jamshedpur : Jewellery and cash worth ₹42,68,144 were recovered from the locker of a suspect Bhagwan Bhagat, which was seized during searches in a case related to illegal mining in Sahibganj district.
The locker was opened in the presence of independent witnesses and a certified valuer.
The locker contained various jewellery items, including a gold bracelet, a gold chain, 12 gold coins, bangles, rings, and other gold, silver, and diamond jewellery.
The total value of the recovered jewellery was estimated at ₹39,12,194. Additionally, cash amounting to ₹3,55,950 was also recovered.
This recovery is in addition to the earlier seizure of a 1 kg gold bar and gold bracelet from the premises of Bhagwan Bhagat.
