UditVani, Jamshedpur : In a sensational incident body of a woman was found near Barabanki bridge under MGM police station area.
The deceased was identified as JMM Mahila Morcha worker Asha Singh (40). She was a resident of Baridih Basti and used to campaign for senior party leader and official candidate from Jamshedpur East seat Ajoy Kumar. She left behind two sons.
According to JMM city president Savita Singh, Asha Singh lived in a rented house.
There were many disputes between them regarding money transactions with the landlord.
Savita Singh expressed suspicion that the landlord might have killed Asha and thrown her body under the bridge.
He told that Asha Singh had given money to the landlord to buy the house in which she lived, but the landlord had refused to take the money, due to which there was a dispute going on between the two.
The deceased’s son Mahesh Singh informed that his mother was missing since November 11. He thought that his mother might have gone to some rally, that is why she did not return home.
On Wednesday (November 13) , through newspapers, he came to know that his mother’s body was kept at the mortuary of MGM Medical College and Hospital.
Mahesh Singh and his brother, with the help of JMM city president Savita Singh, reached the hospital and identified the body.
Police have been informed about the incident and they have started investigation.
