Udit Vani, Jamshedpur : The 38th annual Jamshedpur Book Fair which began today will run for 10 days. A total of 67 stalls will be set up on the premises of Rabindra Bhawan , out of which there will be 15 stalls of Hindi, 24 of Bengali, 30 of English and two each of Santhali and Urdu.
Some of the major publishers from across the country are going to participate in the fair and all have been asked to bring updated and best book seller books.
Some stalls will be multilingual. The entry fee for general public will be Rs 10. The book fair will be open five days a week from Monday to Friday between 2 and 8.30 pm, while on Saturday and Sunday it will be open from 10.30 am to 8.30 pm.
This year all school children will get free entry at the fair. For this, 1500 to 2000 coupons will be provided to every school. However, if a child comes in school dress without a coupon, he will still be given admission without fee.
The book fair will be inaugurated by Jamshedpur Women’s University vice – chancellor Anjila Gupta. Rituraj Sinha, managing director , Tata Steel UISL, will be present as special guest.
